Floods wash away culverts and roads in Kashmir
Kupwara (J-K): Flash floods have washed away several culverts and roads in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara District. The Army was called in to rescue stranded flood victims. Around 50 villages have been affected by the floods, which have also damaged property and crops in areas such as Kalaroos, Shatmuqam, Shalgund, Mudhmadoo, Khumryal, Hayhama, Drugmulla, Matipora, Kultoora, Jugarpora and Awathkohul. Over six culverts have been extensively damaged. People living in lower reaches of the region have been evacuated.
