13 killed, 40 injured as trains collide in Madhya Pradesh

     Shivpuri (MP): At least thirteen people were killed and over 40 others injured when the Indore-Gwalior Intercity Express collided with a freight train at the Bhadarwas railway station in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri District today. The incident occurred when a speeding goods train rammed into a stationary Gwalior Intercity express in the wee hours today. According to sources, around 40 to 50 passengers are still trapped inside the wreckage. Early reports said it appeared to be a case of negligence as the two trains were on the same track. Meanwhile, the Accident Relief Train has reached the Bhadarwas station and relief operations are underway. Relatives of passengers can call the Railways helpline number 1072 for more information.
