Airhostess jailed for smuggling £300K worth cocaine in knickers and bra

London: An airhostess was caught trying to smuggle cocaine worth nearly 300,000 pounds into the UK, in her knickers and bra. In echo of the movie ‘Jackie Brown’, Elphia Dlamini of the South African airlines arrived at Heathrow from Johannesburg with 1.64 kilos, reports the Daily Express. However, after a drugs dog singled her out in a random search of cabin crew, the 42-year-old was arrested. The mother of two has pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court to importing cocaine. Defence lawyer Andrew Hill claimed Dlamini “had been forced by her boyfriend to carry the drugs to the UK”. Judge George Winstanley said the amount of cocaine was “significant” and would have caused “misery”.
