Winter storm leads to cancellation of 1,000 flights in Chicago

     Washington: A heavy winter snowstorm in Chicago has led to the cancellation of over 1, 000 flights across the region, and are not expected to improve till Monday midnight. The National Weather Service said on its website that a winter storm warning remains in effect until midnight Monday for northern Illinois and northwest Indiana. According to Xinhua, flights at the O'Hare International Airport were delayed for up to 45 minutes, and over 900 flights were cancelled and more might be cancelled throughout the day, according to the city Department of Aviation. Midway Airport has also experienced delays of up to 30 minutes, and airlines cancelled over 250 flights.
