Indigo passengers held up for hours following hoax call

New Delhi: An Indigo flight with 164 passengers on board was grounded here this morning, following a hoax call that said there was ammunition inside the plane. The flight was headed for Hyderabad. "We were kept under siege, as a procedure we have been kept under hold for one and a half year, now everything is smooth and nothing was there. Certainly they are arranging facilities for refreshment and we are being taken back," said Abhinav, a passenger. Passengers claimed they were not told the reason behind the delay and for take off. "The authorities told us that there was some technical problem, we asked them to de-board us, we were held for two hours inside the aircraft without any refreshments. The officials later de boarded us, they did not tell us the reason, later we realised that it was for security check," said Suresh Kumar Singhal, another passenger on the Indigo flight. The police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the call.
