AirAsia plans more direct flights to India

London: Malaysia-based low cost carrier AirAsia is planning to expand its routes to India, particularly to destinations with no direct flights. The Star Online quoted AirAsia's regional head of commerce, Kathleen Tan, as saying that the potential destinations included Chennai, Hyderabad , Bangalore and Mumbai. She added that AirAsia is committed to add flights and destinations in the Indian market, which would allow visitors from that country to enjoy its low fares. AirAsia launched a Kuala Lumpur-Kochi direct flight two months ago, and a strong response has been recorded, Tan said.
