Tiger found dead at Jim Corbett National Park

Corbett (Uttarakhand): A four-year-old tiger cub has been found dead at the Corbett Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand. The carcass was spotted in the Dhikala zone of the forest on Tuesday. According to forest officials the tiger might have died during a fight with another animal. "Tourists riding on elephant spotted two tigers running away. After that we found the body of this tiger. It is a male tiger. Its length is 262 centimetres. Its teeth and nails are intact, " said Ranjan Kumar Mishra, park director. In the recent years, many tiger deaths have been reported from the Corbett National Park, and the authorities have stepped up vigilance to keep a check on poachers.
