Showers brings down temperature in Kullu

Kullu: Tourists and locals rejoiced as rains lashed Kullu hills and neighbouring areas in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Rainfall, which started in the morning, brought relief from the rising temperatures as the showers brought an end to a two month long dry spell. "It was very warm, the temperature had crossed 35 degrees. The temperature has fallen down with the rain," said Yog Raj, a local resident. Rain will provide relief to farmers and apple growers, who were faced with crop loss due to drought conditions in the region. Weatherman says the rains and thundershowers are expected to continue in the coming days.
