Intense heat wave weeps Orissa

Bhubaneswar (Orissa): The rising temperature and the soaring humidity has disrupted normal routine of the people in Orissa's Bhubaneswar city, as they find it difficult to move out during the daytime with the mercury rising above 45-degree mark. "After 10 a.m. it is difficult to move out. The people face problems because of the humidity. We move out only after four p.m.," said Khan, a local. "The condition is very bad. As compared to other states, it is much more here. It rained a few days ago due to which there is a further rise in the temperature," said Bhagirathi Sahne, another local. "People are facing a lot of problems in travelling and it is also leading to deaths," he claimed. At least 30 people have reportedly succumbed to heat across the country this year.
