THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Nov 21: A CPM leader's house was attacked in Thiruvananthapuram with a bomb by unknown people on Saturday night. The inmates of the house had a narrow escape. The assailants also damaged the house using weapons.
The Kerala police is camping in Kazhakoottam, where the house is located, to prevent any more untoward incidents. Shiju, whose house at Nehru junction was attacked, is a member of the CPM's local branch.
The police said the miscreants came on a bike with iron swords, broke open the gate and hurled bombs after damaging the vehicles and the house.
One person has been taken into custody in connection with the attack.
