NEW DELHI, Nov 27: Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)
president Lalu Prasad was admitted to the AIIMS, Delhi, on Friday with high
fever. Doctors said his health condition is stable.
Lalu Prasad Ydav, 73, has tested negative for dengue and other infections and
has been kept under observation.
The RJD leader was granted bail in the fodder case by the Jharkhand High Court
earlier in April.
The former Bihar Chief Minister who was undergoing treatment at Ranchi's Rajendra
Institute of Medical Sciences for the last two years was shifted to the AIIMS
New Delhi in January last also.
Earlier this week, addressing the 25th formation day of the RJD, he claimed
that the withdrawal of the controversial farmers' laws by Prime Minister Narendra
Modi is a victory for the farmers. He said with the support of the farmers and
the weaker sections his party will form the next Government in Bihar.
He has been convicted in some of the fodder scam cases and is still facing
trial in some others.
A video of the former Bihar Chief Minister had gone viral earlier this week
driving himself in a jeep to the party office. He was in Patna to appear before
a CBI court in connection with another case related to the 1990s fodder scam.
He has been residing in Delhi with his daughter Misa. He is suffering from
diabetes and renal issues.
