NEW DELHI, Jan 9: Al-Qaeda has threatened to demolish the Ram temple being
built in Ayodhya and replace it with a mosque.
The threat is carried by the latest issue of Al-Qaeda's Ghazwa-e-Hind journal
('Nawai-e-Ghazwatul Hind'). The magazine, which is published online by jihadists,
named Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
advising them not to disregard its exhortations as "propaganda of the Pakistani
establishment," and urged Indian Muslims to support jihad (holy war).
“Just as Ram temple is being built on the ruins of Babri Masjid, it will be
demolished, and Babri Masjid will be rebuilt over the place of the idols in
the name of Allah,” Organiser quoted the latest issue of Ghazwa-e-Hind.
“From Jamia Masjid in Srinagar to the Babri Masjid, jihad is the solution,"
said the editorial.
It told the Indian Muslims they “should not be afraid of material loss”, as
they have already suffered the loss of life and property for decades. They were
also told to use their lives and properties to promote Islamic jihad.
The terror outfit described secularism as “hell” for Indian Muslims and asserted
that slogans of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood are “a hoax”, reported Organiser.
The entire India must come under Islamic law and it is also disgraceful for
Muslims to live under those who worship idols, the jihadi magazine said.
Early this year, Adityanath had said that those who are dreaming about Ghazwa-e-Hind
will not be successful. "The country is being led by Prime Minister Narendra
Modi on the principle of 'sabka sath, sabka vikas'. There will be no appeasement,"
he said. In the context of the Karnataka hijab controversy, the Chief Minister
said that the country will be run on the basis of the Constitution of India
and not Shariat or Islamic law.
