NEW DELHI, Apr 28: As India-Pakistan tensions escalate, China has made express deliveries of its latest PL-15 missiles to Pakistan.

The advanced PL-15s are radar-guided, very long-range air-to-air missiles, said to pack more power than India's French Rafale can meet. However, India's Russia-made S-400 can track and destroy any fighter. The latest Russian BVR R-37M missiles could be still superior to PL-15 but that is not in the arsenal. China had developed Pl-15 as an answer to US AIM-120D AMRAAM.

It is reported that the PL-15 missiles mounted on the Pakistan Air Force fighters in the past few days were from the stocks of China’s Air Force and not the export model PL-15E as they were express deliveries. That is in preparation for an imminent all-out war!

The Chinese air-to-air missiles can be fitted into JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. There are 130 units of these fighters in Pak arsenal.

India too is considering the military options, Indian Express speculated. On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, in an address to the nation, "every Indian's blood is boiling" over the Pahalgam massacre. He urged the people to remain united.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi threatened India that Pakistan has 130 nuclear weapons and they are not for show.

China seized a disputed reef of Sandy Cay in the Spratly Islands in South China Sea, in an escalation of a territorial dispute with the Philippines. Following the seizure, US and Philippines held military drills and dared China.

And, in Washington, a State Department spokesperson said the US "stands with India and strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Pahalgam." It is in touch with both India and Pakistan and urged them to work towards a “responsible solution,” it was reported.

Firing at LoC in Kupwara, Poonch

Meanwhile, Pakistan continued to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) for the fourth straight day on Sunday even as the tensions between the two countries is escalating.

There was small arms fire across LoC opposite at Kupwara and Poonch districts on Sunday night.

"On the night of 26-27 April 2025, Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control in the areas opposite Tutmari Gali and Rampur Sectors. Own troops responded effectively with appropriate small arms fire," the Indian Army had said in a statement.

The houses of nine suspected terrorists have been demolished by security personnel in South Kashmir since the Pahalgam terror attack. These include those of Adnan Shafi Dar in Zainapora of Shopian, Amir Nazir in Daramdora of Pulwama and Jameel Ahmad in Naz Colony in Bandipora.

Over 50 terrorists operating in Valley

According to reports, currently there are more than 50 terrorists operating in the Valley. Details are available about 14 of them. They belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) (eight), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) (three) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) (three). The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Let had claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack.

The 14 identified terrorists are: Mohammad Adil Rahman Dentu (21); Mohammad Asif Ahmed Sheikh (28); Mohammad Ahsan Ahmed Sheikh (23); Mohammad Haris Nazir (20); Mohammad Amir Nazir Wani (20); Mohammad Yawar Ahmed Bhat; Mohammad Asif Ahmed Khande (24); Mohammad Naseer Ahmad Wani (21); Mohammad Shahid Ahmed Kute (27); Mohammad Amir Ahmad Dar; Mohammed Adnan Safi Dar; Mohammad Zubair Ahmad Wani (39); Mohammad Haroon Rashid Ganai (32); Mohammad Zakir Ahmed Ghani (29).

Tensions between India and Pakistan began building up following the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people were killed. The security agencies are on the hunt for the perpetrators of the terror attack and strengthened the vigil across the Union Territory.

A realisation of this never dawned upon any Opposition party in 2014 or any time thereafter, what to talk of being able to see it coming 70 years ago! The terminations are part of a large-scale exercise going on all across Fed departments and organisations to reduce wasteful Government expenditure as decided by a Trump in a mess gone berserk, and improve administrative efficiency following the whims of billionaire and his associate Elon MusK and his DOGE. It has not been shared how terminations are going to raise the efficiency bar! It looks like Trump has stolen some of the prescriptions meant for India. But the American problems are quite different.

ANALYSIS: "The standard operating procedure for deportations by aircraft used by ICE that is effective from 2012 provides for the use of restraints," says the Government.
