Bangalore hosts first-ever exhibition of medicinal plants

          Bangalore, Apr 13: The first ever national exhibition on Indian system of medicine, horticulture, herbal beauty care and medicinal plants is on in Bangalore. The exhibition is giving the opportunity to the public and the industry to interact on a variety of subjects including the usage of medicinal plants in day-to-day life.

           "We are trying to create an awareness among the public, the masses especially, about the goodness of ayurveda, the natural medicine that is available in India. Of course, from abroad also we have got a few species which have been introduced in India. It's all about nature, nature care and the goodness of these things which we want to propagate to the world" said KK Sunil, Director of Radium Innovations, the organiser of this exhibition.

          The exhibition which is on in the famous Lalbagh Glass House has more than 200 varieties of medicinal plants, herbs and vegetables for the public to see. Information regarding the uses and benefit of various plants, fruits and vegetables is also available. "This exhibition is very useful for layman and those who are practising in the villages. It is very useful to see these medicinal plants" said Dr SG Huvin,Drug Inspector for Indian Systems of Medicine.
