Fuzon rocks Mumbai

Mumbai: Mumbai seems to be enjoying the Pakistani band music. After Strings another Pakistan band Fuzon is rocking Mumbai with their music and performances. Mumbaikars had their brush with the band at MTV studios at Parel. The resounding music of the band across the border, Fuzon echoed at the MTV studios as the crowd had an unforgettable time. The Band enthralled the audience with their blend of eastern classical melodies fused with western rock.A trend started by the legendry late Nazia Hasan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan , Reshma was followed by artist like Ali Haidar, Sajjad Ali, xenia .Pakistani music acts have always been well appreciated and accepted in the Indian music scene, for their superior music quality Fuzon is one of Pakistan's upcoming band which started in 2001. by guitarist Shallum(Shallum Asher Xavier) ,Keyboardist Immu (Imran Momina )with vocalist Shafaqat son of Ustad Amanat Ali Khan of old Patiala Gharana .Their music was a mix of modern arrangements with traditional melodies. The result is Saagar-an album that contains stuff as diverse as the mellow 'Dooriyan' to the haunting tabla -guitar khichdi adrenaline filled 'Mora Saiyaa'. According to the band the album is about lost love, pain, inner strength. Saagar features 12 tracks each reflecting something unique in music, with a common strain of rock melodies blended with Indian classical and folk vocals. Fuzon's 'Saagar' explores a diverse genre of 'Raag and Roll', an enchanting fusion between Indian classical (with some tracks based on Aiman, Malhar, Madhubanti and Khamaj rags) and rock music. Just one album old, with hit gaanas like 'Mora Saiyaan' and breezy 'Tere Bina has all the ingredients to make them big time hits. Infact Nagesh Kukunoor's film Hyderbad Blues -2 features two tracks from the album. And don't let the fact that they are spelt 'Fuzon' and pronounced fusion. EMI Music India is promoting and marketing Fuzon band in India. Fuzon- Saagar is an eclectic and heady mix of romantic ballads and peppy pop/rock tracks with extremely catchy melodies .Fuzon believes in music from the heart that leaves a lasting impression on the listener's mind. During this age of music malnutrition in indipop, impressive across the border bands like Fuzon provide solace and hopefully a few Indian bands as well. As they say music knows no boundaries and has no religion.

Ishaa Koppikar's sizzling video

The Khallas girl, Ishaa Koppikar, known for her item numbers, is set to sizzle the music video scene once again with an item number in the album Bhor Bhaye Panghat created by the music band Bandish. Marketed by Universal Music, Bhor contains remixes of songs from films like Satyam Shivam Sundaram (Bhor Bhaye Panghat), Hero (Tu Mera Janu Hai), 1942 A Love Story (Ek Ladki Ko Dekha), Naukar (Pallo Latke) and Bobby (Hum Tum Ek Kamre Mein). Ishaa's sizzling dance sequences have been choreographed and directed by Bosco and Caesar. Like most people who do remixes, Band members of Bandish Mayur and Udyan say the aim is to attract the younger generation to the music of the 1960s and 1970s. Reacting to the older generation's criticism of remixes, they quip that they will ensure that the soul of the original scores by Laxmikant Pyarelal is kept intact.
