Wedding expo in Jaipur
by Lokendra Singh

Jaipur: A three-day long wedding expo 'Parinay' in Jaipur, provided the locals an opportunity to stock up on exclusive range of wedding garments and jewellery ahead of the wedding season in the country. Apart from designers and jewellers, some of the leading caterers, wedding planners and hotels participated in the recently concluded expo. "We have invited the best companies of India that are a part of the wedding trade whether it is designers, jewellers, caterers, hotels. Because for a marriage you require all these things. So if someone is looking for organizing his marriage on a good scale, he can visit the expo. One can have one-to-one interaction in few hours with people with whom you require 2-5 months to fix an appointment," said Pritesh Sharma, organizer of the expo. The visitors in the event were overwhelmed to find wide range of wedding related accessories under one roof. "For a wide selection you get a wide range in wedding expos. Because of that one comes to know what he wants. When there are displays available, you come to know whether it's going to suit you or your amily members. A lot of colour combinations are also available," said Sadhna a visitor. The event also provided exhibitors a platform for a brisk business. "The most important thing in this kind of event is that people come in a much focused mind that they are coming for a bridal wear. So if we are introducing a bridal collection we know we are going to get the right kind of clientele so that is very important for us to get the selected clientele," said Narmila, an exhibitor. Weddings in India are generally a grand affair with preparation starting months prior to the wedding date.
