Ludhiana hosts a glitzy fashion show

Ludhiana: Models swayed on the ramp adorning exquisite collections by designers during a fashion show in Ludhiana. The show was a part of the Blenders Pride Magical Nights tour, a multi-city fashion show series, which began on July 22 in Guwahati. Renowned designers from the Indian fashion industry, Mandira Wirk and Vikram Phadnis, showcased their creations for the show. Models walked the ramp wearing collections of Delhi-based fashion designer Wirk in soft colour palettes. A model in a lilac draped gown slipped off her feet accidentally, while entering the stage. Wirk described her collections as feminine and wearable. "Today's collection is a combination of Grecian and resort wear. The ensembles are quite trendy, feminine and wearable. I have used a lot of drapes. The colour palette includes ivory, mushroom, fuchsia and lilac. So, it is a very feminine collection," said Wirk. Meanwhile, Bollywood beauty Minissha Lamba, who donned the spectacular turquoise drape by Wirk, walked the ramp with élan. After the show, Lamba said, "My upcoming film is 'Well Done Abba' which is Shyam Benegal's next venture." The Magical Night tour will continue throughout the month of August and will end on September 9 in Pune. The designers participating in this tour include, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Vikram Phadnis, Mandira Wirk, Ranna Gill, Dev R. Nil, Kavita Banerjee, Asmita Marwa, Rahul and Gunjan from Sirali, Prriya and Chintan, Raj Shroff and Neetu Gupta.
