Malhotra showcases his collection at 'FICCI Frames 2009'           Mumbai:
Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra showcased his latest
collection during a three-day annual media and entertainment
conclave 'FICCI frames 2009' in Mumbai. The second day of the
conclave concluded on Wednesday on a good note followed by presentation
of FICCI BAF awards and a fashion show by Manish Malhotra. Top
models like Gauhar Khan walked down the ramp in bright, colorful
traditional, bridal wear. Known for his different style and
his ability to envision a 'look' for the character of a movie,
Malhotra has designed for many leading actors in Bollywood.
"It's a bridal wear where I have played with colours and lot
of embroidery. In men's clothes, I don't like shine so there
is lot of texture. I love black on men. So its basically what
I and my label represents," said Malhotra. The three-day long
convention is a forum, which gives a chance for leading names
from media and entertainment industry to share a common platform
with government representatives. This year FICCI Frames expects
nearly 2000 Indian and 800 foreign delegates from the media
and entertainment industry. It will cover the entire gamut of
media and entertainment like films, TV, radio, digital entertainment,
                  animation, gaming and visual effects.-Feb
