Manipuri fashion designer Sailex showcases his creations in Bangalore

     Bangalore: With a lot of youngsters in the northeast being fashion conscious and open to welcome change in day-to-day life, the talent pool here holds a big scope to be reckoned with at world stage. There are many youngsters in the northeast who have drawn appreciation at national and international level for their creativity. Sailex Ngairangbam, who belongs to Manipur, is today known for his distinctness in designs. He graduated from one of World’s top design schools DOMUS ACADEMY , Milan . Just a few days before the Kingfisher Derby fashion show, a special opening show was held for the jockeys and horse trainers in Bangalore . Sailex showcased his Milan week collection in Bangalore for the very first time. His fashion tour to Bangalore is inspired by a fusion of ideas, experience and realization. “The collection is a winter collection. I’ve used dark gothic colours. That’s why the men and women have make up on. It’s a very dark collection and a winter-autumn collection.” “I am from a younger generation, I’ve studied abroad and I’ve tried to fit the European styles in India . This is what I have been trying to do,” said Sailex Ng, the designer. “It’s something you can wear everyday. It’s not just for the ramp. So I really loved and enjoyed it,” said Jessica, a model. Sailex Ngairangbam gained experience working with reputed names in the fashion industry like “FIORUCCI, FRANKIE MORELLO & RAFFAEL LOPEZ. He also participated in the prestigious Lakme India Fashion Week 09, and has become one of the hot favorites of most of the fashion followers and celebrities. Sailex’s success will inspire other budding designers in the northeast region.
