Now, creative bras to fight breast cancer

New York: Exquisitely designed brassieres, with names like Mardi Bra and the Bronx Bombers, are set to go under the hammer to raise funds for breast cancer charity. Called Creative Cups, the extraordinary collection includes brassieres with images of modern and classic Yankee stars. The flamboyant designs also include an Armor Bra made out of ancient body armour "as a metaphor for the ongoing battle against breast cancer." The bras available in all size 36-C have been crafted by designers from across the country. The proceeds from the sale will go to the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. "It's a really kind of a light-hearted way to celebrate those who have survived breast cancer and those who have dealt with breast cancer - and at the same time raise funds for our program," the New York Daily News quoted cancer program director Hillary Rutter as saying.
