Nation pays tributes to Indira Gandhi

      New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi today (Nov 19) led the nation in paying rich tributes to the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 87th birth anniversary. Union ministers Shivraj Patil, K Natwar Singh, Sunil Dutt and Meira Kumar, Delhi Lt. Governor BL Joshi and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit also paid homage to Indira Gandhi at her memorial, 'Shakti Sthal' here. School children, carrying pictures of Indira in their hands, sang patriotic songs on the occasion and released tri-colour baloons.
