Delhi Metro bridge collapses: 2 dead


          New Delhi: Two people were killed on the spot and several others injured when a girder for the flyover rail track of the under-construction Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in Shakarpur in east Delhi fell down on the road early Sunday. A blueline bus with several passengers on board was trapped under the debris. The front part of the bus suffered the maximum damage and the bus driver was killed. Fire teams and ambulances rescued the trapped people. The were taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. The area was cordoned off. The Metro corporation has ordered a probe into the accident. Metro officials said that this was the first time that they encountered such a problem and that AFCONS has been asked to submit a report.
