The
winning pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza
returned home to a rousing welcome at the Mumbai
airport on Monday. Bhupathi and Sania won their
first Grand Slam together, crushing Andy Ram and
Nathalie Dechy in straight sets in the mixed doubles
final of the Australian Open on Sunday.

The winning duo of Australian Mixed doubles title Mahesh
Bhupathi and Sania Mirza arrived at the airport here on
Monday. "It's a great way to come back. It is my first
tournament of the year and many more to go ahead. So I
am just going to be happy with wining this Grand Slam
and will see from here," said Sania Mirza. When asked
whether both will continue to play such mixed doubles
tournament in future, pat came the reply from Mahesh Bhupathi,
"yes definitely". The win gave Bhupathi his 11th Grand
Slam title and seventh in mixed doubles. Sania Mirza became
the first Indian woman to win a senior Grand Slam title
when she teamed up with compatriot Bhupathi to win the
Australian Open mixed doubles on Sunday. Bhupathi and
Sania won their first Grand Slam together, crushing Andy
Ram and Natalie Dechy in straight sets in the mixed doubles
final of the Australian Open. While the mixed doubles
champions arrived in Mumbai, Australian Open boys' singles
winner Yuki Bhambri arrived in New Delhi.
