Released in the country with the name 'Slumdog Crorepati', the movie is shot in real, gritty locations of Mumbai and is being appreciated by the people for its 'realistic portrayal' of life. "The storyline is very good. Movie was so different, so deserving. It showed the reality actually," said Asha Bajaj, after watching the movie. Brilliant, deserving and record breaking were only a few of the epithets used by the Indian audiences in describing Slumdog Millionaire. Another cine-goer said that the movie deserved an Oscar.
