KR Narayanan slips into coma, critical

     New Delhi: Former President KR Narayanan has slipped into coma and doctors supervising him have stated his condition to be very critical. A medical bulletin issued by the Army Research and Referral Hospital, where he has been hospitalised since Saturday said, that the ex-President was suffering from acute artery blockages. "Medical evaluation has revealed evidences of right side pnumonitis (pneumonia)," the bulletin said. Narayanan, 85, was admitted to the hospital on October 29 after he complained of acute breathlessness. He has since been put on ventilator.
