serial blast suspect arrested in Jammu and Kashmir

Delhi: Delhi police today said that army troops have arrested
a Lashkar-e-Taiba militant from Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir,
who admitted that he was involved in the October 29 serial
blasts in New Delhi that claimed nearly 70 lives and injured
over 200. The police identified the arrested suspect as Ghulam
Mohiuddin, and said that he was arrested on Monday. During
his interrogation, Mohiuddin claimed that he had a hand in
triggering the blasts after which he went into hiding. The
Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police (Special Cell), Karnail
Singh, who is heading the probe into the blasts, said "the
claims made by the apprehended militant will be verified.
He will be brought to Delhi for questioning to ascertain the
veracity of his claims." On November 2, the Delhi Police released
three sketches of a suspect involved in one of the bomb blasts
in Govindpuri in South Delhi. Ther police made the sketches
on the basis of descriptions provided by passengers of the
bus in which the blast took place.
