(Scotland): He may be known for his simple and pious lifestyle,
but Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama has a sweet tooth
for Scotland's Dundee Cake. Such is his fondness for the traditional
Scottish delicacy, which is made with a mixture of almonds,
raisins, sultanas and orange peel, that members of the Edinburgh
Inter-Faith Association, who will act as tour guides when
he visits Edinburgh later this month, have made sure they
have plenty in stock, reports Scotsman.com. Seventy-year-old
Dalai Lama usually has a hearty breakfast and lunch, which
is followed by a small snack - and he is hopeful that snack
will be a slice of Dundee Cake. He will be visiting Edinburgh
after a trip to the United States. During the visit, he will
address public meetings, meet local politicians, and take
part in a debate on ethics in the new millennium. The Dalai
Lama will be in Edinburgh from November 18 to 20.
Rushdie's son recounts his 'fatwa-hit'

Noted, but controversial, writer Salman Rushdie may have
led a fearful life since the late 1980s after Muslim clerics
issued a fatwa calling for his head for his "un- Islamic"
book - Satanic Verses, but it seems that his family also bore
the brunt of his targeting. His son, Zafar Rushdie, has now
put his way of life in black and white, which, according to
him, was very different from normal. Zafar, who was nine years
old when his father was sentenced to death, has written an
article in next month's edition of Tatler magazine, describing
his childhood and upbringing even as he was surrounded by
bodyguards and followed by camera crews. According to The
Times, Rushdie's son describes how their family life was suspended
and he had to get used to living with bodyguards and visiting
his father in hiding. "Sure, I've had a slightly unique upbringing:
bodyguards, bulletproof cars, guns, death threats and camera
crews behind bushes. This is my kind of normal," the paper
quoted him as saying in his article.

Hollywood beauty Halle Berry is reportedly pregnant with
her boyfriend Michael Ealy's baby. The 'Catwoman' actress
started dating Ealy after breaking up with singer Eric Benet,
and this will be her first child, if the rumours are true.
"Halle Berry is reportedly expecting her first child together
with her boyfriend, actor Michael Ealy. Halle Berry met Ealy
after getting out of her marriage to singer and sex addict
Eric Benet," the Sun quoted a report on MTVe.com as saying.
Last week, Hollywood actor Bruce Willis had reportedly admitted
that he had crush on Berry. He was, however, unsure if the
actress also had same feelings for him.

Gurinder Chadha is planning to make a sequel to her 2003
hit movie 'Bend It Like Beckham', which shaped the careers
of Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra. Most of the characters
of 'Bend It Like Beckham' will return in the sequel, which
is going to be about Chadha's life and her footballing career.
"I am making a sequel to Bend it Like Beckham. But I see it
more as a continuation of the characters than an actual sequel.
The first film was based on me when I was growing up, whereas
this next one is going to be about my life afterwards," The
Sun quoted her as speaking at the after-party of the TCM Classic
Shorts Awards. "I'm busy with another project at the moment,
but after that I'm really looking forward to getting started
on it," she added.

A shocking ITV drama about Camilla and Prince Charles
shows her telling the latter that she is a slut. The 3.5 million
pounds programme to be screened this month also includes a
scene in which she states,"You know I'm not a virgin.That's
another reason I could never be Queen" The drama follows the
couple's romance from their meeting at a 1971 polo match until
Charles wed Diana in 1981. Its title " Whatever Love Means"
is a dig at Charles' comment when he was asked if he loved
future bride Diana, reports the Sun. In one of the explicit
scenes, Camilla reaches to grab the Prince's crotch as they
lie on a bed. and says "Youre going to find out Im a slut

19-year
old school dropout launches own airline (Go

A 19-year old teenager who dropped out of his A-level
studies has now launched his own airline. Martin Halstead,
who has been named "Baby Branson" after Virgin Atlantic honcho
Sir Richard Branson, has said that the Alpha One Airways will
start operations from November 21, carrying around 75,000
passengers. Halstead, who quit the classroom to get his commercial
pilot's licence, said that he came up with the idea while
sitting at a coffee shop with friends, as getting a job in
the industry was very difficult. "It's very difficult to get
a job in the industry at the moment so I thought I would start
my own company. I'm probably the only airline boss in the
UK who will actually fly the planes," The Mirror quoted Halstead
as saying. "I'm numb at the moment. I find it so hard to believe,
but it's fantastic," he added. Halstead, funded the project
largely from the sale of his airline computer simulation software
firm - upon which he was working since 15. As of now he has
bought an 18-seater plane and plans to lease another for flights
to Edinburgh and Cardiff. The one way tariff from the Isle
of Man to Blackpool and Southampton, has been fixed at 29
and 49 pounds plus taxes, including champagne and nibbles.
Richard Branson has also given him advice on starting up,
and Halstead is excited about being compared with him. "I
find it a huge compliment. Richard has been a huge inspiration
to me and has given me a lot of advice. To be put in the same
ball park as him is a real honour," he added.

depicting the actor's pre-Hollywood days in Australia, where

and the movie has been named "In Like Flynn", a phrase which
stems from his 1942 trial. Flynn, who was voted the 26th greatest

old when he died of a massive heart attack while staying on
his yatch. The film stars the actor's grandson Luke, who is
also the writer and producer, as playing his famous grandfather,
