Jacko applies rouge in ladies loo (Go To Top)

     London: There seems to be no end to pop singer Michael Jackson's oddities, the eccentric star was reportedly spotted applying rouge in a ladies washroom, at a shopping mall. Jacko reportedly triggered a security alert in a Dubai shopping mall when he sauntered into the ladies room wearing a woman's Arabic headscarf, removed his disguise and started applying rouge to his cheeks. A woman, standing at the next mirror, reportedly squealed in horror when she recognised the singer's famous face, before taking photos on her mobile phone. Jackson, who has been living in Bahrain since being cleared of sex abuse charges, let out a screech in return, which saw his bodyguards rush to his side. The horrified woman, a Tunisian teacher told a frightened-looking Jackson she was going to take the photos to the police, according to UAE newspaper Khaleej Times. Jackson was led away to his car as the police squad arrived. Dubai police have confirmed they attended the bizarre incident at the capital's Battuta Mall over the weekend, reports Femalefirst.

Diet, exercise can prevent heart disease, diabetes (Go To Top)

     Washington: A study, conducted over a period of 25 years, has found that more than 80 percent of coronary heart disease cases and 90 percent of type two diabetes cases could be prevented if people maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly. The study was led by Dr. Walter Willett, Chairman of the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health, who said that trans fats are by far the worst type, as they have an adverse effect on inflammatory factors as well as blood lipids. "Trans fats are by far the worst type of fat, in part because they have adverse effects on inflammatory factors as well as blood lipids," Dr. Willett said. The study will be presented at the American Society of Nephrology's 38th Annual Meeting and Scientific Exposition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     London: Believe it or not. Latino bombshell Shakira, who was always thought as the so-oh hot flesh-flashing babe, is actually too 'shy' of showing her body in pop videos, and has declared that she is not the kind of person that she is normally portrayed as. "My videos represent the artist in me very well, but not the kind of woman I am," Fox News quoted the 28-year-old as saying. "When they watch my videos, people might think that I'm very sexually aggressive person, but I am completely the opposite. I'm very shy of my body," she added. Speaking on her attitude towards nudity, the sexy pop star has confessed that she is keeping her body to herself, as her mum has advised her only to show her belly. "The most I can show is my belly. I admire people who can do nudes for the love of art. I can't. And I wear enough to cover what my mother wishes I cover," the report quoted the Columbian singer as saying. Shakira's latest video, Don't Bother, features a flashback of lovemaking in the shower and shows her taking vengence on a former lover by having his car crushed.

Kim Catrall likes to take charge during sex (Go To Top)

     New York: Former 'Sex and the City' star Kim Catrall has revealed that she prefers to bed younger men because they let her take charge. Catrall, who played the sex-hungry character of Samantha Jones, and is currently dating chef Alan Wyse, 22 years her junior, said that older men always try to maintain control while haveing sex and she prefers the attitude of younger men, to hand over charge to the more experienced partner. "There's a feeling of: 'She's older than me, she has experienced more, so sit back and relax. I prefer that to: 'Oh I should know this. I should govern this. I should be leading this," the New York Daily News quoted her, as saying. The actress, who was speaking at the launch of her second book titled "Sexual Intelligence", in New York, said that talks with her mother about sex taught her that sex was something that could only lead to trouble. "The sexual education I got through my mother was next to nothing. We were so fear-based. (It was) You're either going to get pregnant or you're going to get a disease and die, "the actress said. Catrall also revealed that it was her on-screen character, Samantha, who taught her that sex could be fun. "Samantha taught me a lot. She would experience fun and craziness and acrobatics and impossible scenarios of delectable delights," she added.

Wanted: Human face for 'Bob the Builder' (Go To Top)

     London: People and children all over the world have fallen in love with the energetic animated character Bob the Builder. And now, the hunt is on and auditions will soon be held to find the man who most resembles the popular character, who has a never say die attitude. The auditions will be held in London and the applicants must be dressed in the full Bob the Builder kit. Any person who is over the age limit of 18 years can participate in the competition. The person who is chosen as the the human face of the cartoon character will star in a Christmas campaign promoting the new line of toys and a DVD of the character and his friends. The search organisers, Hit Entertainment, said that the auditions were a great way for a person to become the human face of the builder. "It's a great chance to become the first real-life Bob," The Sun quoted Hit Entertainment, as saying. The characters for the cartoon series were created by advertising artist Keith Chapman back in the late 1980s and the series premiered on the BBC on April 12, 1999. By the end of the year 2000, Bob had been sold to 108 countries around the world and had earned 60 million pounds through the sale of licensed products.
