Becks new 'kiss and tell' sex scandal (Go To Top)

London: Soccer star David Beckham is once again embroiled in a sex scandal with a European model alleging that she enjoyed a liaison with him. Nathalie Sterchele, 22 has reportedly revealed that she drank and flirted with the star at an Austrian nightclub in August and duly followed him out into the night. The model now claims that she will reveal all about her association with Becks at a kiss-and-tell auction, which will be conducted by the lawyer and her agent. The model also revealed that she visited the England captain's luxury hotel room more than once and, when he returned home to Spain, stayed in intimate contact by text message. Howevere Beckham's representatives said the allegations were completely untrue but declined to enter into a detailed discussion about what actually unfolded during Beckham's visit to Austria. However, supporters of the Real Madrid star said they now feared it was open season on him - and that almost any girl he met would try to cash in on his fame. "It has got to the point where David feels he can't even talk to anyone. The situation is insufferable at a time when his main focus is ensuring England qualify for next year's World Cup," a source was quoted by the Daily Mail, as saying. Sterchele claims her subsequent meetings with Beckham were organised by text messages and phone calls. She says that she was driven to Beckham's hotel, less than a mile from her home, by taxi or dropped off by friends.

One needs 18 persons' support (Go To Top)

London: A British study has revealed that people employ a sophisticated combination of 18 people (friends and family) to support them, in accordance with their needs. Ray Pahl, a research professor in sociology from the Institute for Social and Economic Research at Essex University said that the network may range from siblings to even acquaintances who become close friends in a few months due to some common hobby or otherwise. "For a woman in her 30s, for example, (the network) may include the woman she can rely on to pick up her kids from school if anything goes wrong," said Prof Pahl. The research to be published in a book titled 'Thinking friendship: Hidden solidarities' he has co-written, said that friends or siblings at certain points of time fulfil certain emotional needs that cannot be fulfilled by that person himself. Steve Pankhurst, founder of the Friends Reunited website, said that each friend fulfilled a different role. He put his network at a dozen close friends, including his brother, his wife, schoolfriends and work colleagues, however saying: "some people have a group of friends they carry around like a burden or a sack of potatoes. Most people have those sort of friends, who are a bit of a chore." Professor Pahl and his colleague Liz Spencer identified seven types of "personal community" or network, depending both on the character and the situation in their life, reports The Sunday Times. In a "friend-like" personal community, the person depended on more friends than family, with close friends at the centre and more casual friends and relations further away, and in "friend- enveloped" communities, relatives, husbands, wives and offspring, were at the centre, with a larger group of friends forming a ring around.

The screen star purchased the palatial lakeside 18th-century Villa Oleandra, which is said to have hosted hoards of Hollywood stars, from the Heinz family in 2002 . No lines for the loo for Paris Hilton (Go To Top)

New York: It really doesn't matter whether you are the US Prez, any other normal person, or for that matter, Paris Hilton. Bottom line is that when you've got to go, you've to go, that's to the loo of course! And that is precisely what happened last weekend to the now not to be shipping heiress, when the call of nature proved too strong to warrant a wait. According to The New York Post, she reportedly could not wait for her turn last weekend in Las Vegas during the opening celebration of Tao at the Venetian, and was escorted to the washroom, breaking the line of people that had formed outside waiting for their turn. Several witnesses report her "not being able to wait in line for the bathroom," and "cleaning crews were quietly brought in", when she was reportedly unable to hold on any longer. She claims that whenever male drivers try to wind she and her girlfriends on the road, they retaliate by a breast and butt show, that more often than not, has the desired effect. "When I'm driving on the motorway with my girlfriends, male drivers tend to get lairy and give us friendly abuse. But we play them at their own game and moon out of the window or display our breasts!", The Sun quoted her, as saying.
