Chhota Shakeel's shooter killed in encounter

     Mumbai: Anil Narayan Shinde alias Baatla, a shooter of the Chhota Shakeel gang, was killed in an encounter on Friday. Official sources said that Baatla was shot by the special squad of the Mumbai Police at Prem Gully in the surburb of Khar (West) at around 11. 30 p.m. on Friday. Police have recovered one locally manufactured revolver, two cartridges and one Nokia 2100 cellphone from the encounter spot. According to the police, Baatla had several cases of extortion and kidnapping registered against him in various police stations.
