SC asks BCCI to submit
details of voters

Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the Board
of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to give details of
its members who would vote in the boards annual elections
which is under suspension. A bench comprising Justice B P
Singh and Justice S B Sinha gave the order while hearing the
petition filed by Cricket Associations of Rajasthan and Bihar
and Netaji Cricket Club challenging Kolkata High Court order
of removing two former Chief Justices as poll observers to
retain Justice Suhas C Sen for the work. The apex court would
also appoint the observer for the boards polls. Meanwhile,
the BCCI, on Wednesday, recommended former Chief Election
Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy as the preferred observer for
its elections. The Calcutta High Court September 23 had stayed
the BCCI elections for two months till the completion of the
petition filed by the ruling group challenging the appointment
of two more observers for board s elections by the High Court.
