Pak PM sends formal proposal for LoC opening
Islamabad:
Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said today that a
formal draft proposal has been delivered to Indian government
for opening Line of Control to allow any number of people
coming across the LoC to meet their relatives and assist in
reconstruction. Five places to this end had been notified
in the draft proposal, Aziz said. While speaking to media
here today at the House of Prime Minister, he said: "A formal
draft proposal for opening Line of Control has been sent to
Indian government and now we are waiting India's response
to it." However, he hoped for a positive reaction to the proposal.
He informed that a donors conference would be held in Islamabad
in the month of November for rehabilitation of the earthquake
affectees after Geneva conference on October 26. Responding
to a question, he told soon Nato engineers and medical teams
would come Pakistan.
