Speaker invites Israeli Minister
Islamabad:
Pakistan's speaker of the National Assembly, Chaudhry
Amir Hussain, has invited Israeli Vice- Education Minister
Majali Wahabi to visit Pakistan. Hussain, who met the Israeli
minister in Geneva thanked him on Islamabad's behalf for the
co-operation and support Tel Aviv had extended in the wake
of the quake in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and NWFP.
Wahabi said that Israel was the first country that offered
relief to Pakistan and the Chaudhry sincerely appreciated
this gesture. He said the relations between the two countries
were blossoming with time, the Daily Times quoted a report
in the BBC as saying Meanwhile an Israeli Foreign Ministry
spokesman said that Israel was sending relief goods including
include tents, medicines, woollen blankets and eatables for
earthquake victims.
