RSS shows concern over division within the Parivar

New Delhi: In the latest issue of Rashtriya Swayamesewak Sangh's (RSS) journal 'Panchjanya,' senior Sangh functionary Dattatreya Hosbale said that Sangh was concerned over the public perception about divisions within the Parivar by Sangh General Secretary Mohan Bhagwat at the Surat conclave. "Certainly, it is unfortunate that it appears to the people that those who believe in the Hindutva ideology are a divided lot. This is not good either for our organisation nor the Hindu society. We are concerned about it and we are making efforts to rectify it at the earliest," said in an article in 'Panchjanya's' latest issue. However, he made it clear that Bhagwat's statement had come due to the occurrence of unpleasant developments and communication within the Parivar in the last few months. Bhagwat had said that the Sangh would ponder over ideology, style of functioning, behaviour and new generation, adding that there was an ideological erosion and lack of restraint in language within the parivar. "The general secretary has clearly stated this to everyone. It is being thought about and the outcome of that thought is getting reflected off and on in language and statements," said the article. Though Hosbale maintained that RSS was making efforts to rectify the problem at the earliest. "Each organisation was free to draw up its programme and strategy, but if we have to win the trust of the Hindu society, they should all stay together and work in the same direction under a broader strategy" it said.
