Ronaldo reveals his sex-romp was consensual  (Go To Top)

      London: Manchester United Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has confessed to police in Britain that he had consensual sex with two French Afro-Caribbean women earlier this month, and had not raped them as the latter have claimed. Twenty-year-old Ronaldo told detective attached with the special "Operation Sapphire" squad that he and his cousin had a "roasting" sex romp with the two girls in his room at the upmarket Sanderson Hotel in London's West End area. According to a News of The World report, Ronaldo then described how they all went clubbing together afterwards. The Operation Sapphire cops first exposed the degrading sex ritual known as "roasting" among football stars, where starstruck groupies get passed round like lumps of meat. "I've been stitched up. I'm totally innocent," Ronaldo is said to have told his friends.

     The drama began on Saturday, October 1, after the Portuguese star dined out with his cousin and two pals to celebrate the Red Devils' 3-2 win over Fulham. They arrived back at the Sanderson Hotel around midnight for drinks in the Long Bar. It was there Ronaldo and his cousin first encountered the French Afro-Caribbean women. One eyewitness described how the well-dressed girls, both unemployed, had already been there drinking for an hour. One was in a micro-skirt and strappy high heels. The other had a low-cut top and black boots up to her knees. German businessman Dirk Wetzel said that after chatting to several other men in the bar the girls were flirting and laughing with Ronaldo. "The situation seemed clearthe girls wanted to sleep with him, not him with them," said Wetzel, 34. Ronaldo, according to Wetzel, was stone cold sober and unbelievably polite to everyone who approached him. Shortly after, Ronaldo and his cousin went up to their 2,500 pound-a-night suite. Minutes later the two girls followed them up. What exactly happened over the next two hours on the king- sized sleigh bed, painted in silver leaf, is at the heart of the police inquiry.

     Ronaldo told police he had consensual sex with both women, one after the other, and his cousin went with just one. The group then went out of the hotel on a clubbing spree. Ronaldo and his cousin then returned to the hotel at dawn. The two women attempted to enter the hotel again, but were prevented from doing so. They eventually revealed that they had allegedly been raped, 30 hours after their meeting with Ronaldo and his cousin. Contrary to some reports, cops are taking both girls' allegations seriously. One is now believed to have returned home to Paris.

    London: Pop singer Madonna, who broke her collarbone and a hand after falling from a horse two months ago, has invented a host of new dance moves, so that she can perform without causing any discomfort to her injuries. "I'm going to invent some new dance moves that don't force me to use my bad bits. I'm still a tough girl," femalefirst quoted her as saying to Attitude magazine. Up until recently, Madonna had to wear a sling to protect the damaged area, and her team was worried she won't be able to dance during her forthcoming shows to promote new album 'Hung Up'. Since August Madonna has been keeping away from the equestrian life because her record company was not very keen on the idea of the star injuring herself. But, last week she took to the streets of New York on an elegant chestnut mount alongside US chat show host David Letterman.

Scorsese's 'Godfellas' voted greatest movie of all time (Go To Top)

     Washington: 'Godfellas' has been voted the greatest movie of all time in a new poll of experts by British magazine Total Film. The classic mafia drama by director Martin Scorsese, is followed by Alfred Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' and Steven Spielberg's 'Jaws'. According to Contactmusic, while David Fincher's 'Fight Club' and Francis Ford Coppola's 'The Godfather: Part II' got fourth and fifth places respectively, Orson Welles' 'Citizen Kane', which usually tops critics' movie polls, got the sixth place. Is Britney's marriage on the rocks (Go To Top)

     London: Pop singer Britney Spears' marriage with dancer Kevin Federline is on the rocks, if reports are to be believed. According to sources, since after the birth of their baby Sean Preston last month, the couple has been having a series of vicious rows, as Federline goes out with pals all the time and Britney is stuck at home with the baby. After a confrontation last week, Federline stormed out of the house, and was later spotted in swanky nightclub Mood, surrounded by gorgeous women. "They have been rowing non-stop since the baby was born last month. Britney feels Kevin isn't supporting her and is just going out with friends all the time. She's had enough of it. He behaves like he's got no responsibilities while she is at home caring for their newborn son," News of the World quoted a source as saying. "Britney had done a multi-million-pound deal for the exclusive pictures but suddenly withdrew them as the couple were pictured as a happy family and there is now a wedge between them," the source added. Britney's mother Lynn is also worried that Kevin has been spending a lot of her daughter's money, as he went into partnership with Michael Jackson's dad Joe to open a multi- million-dollar dance studio.
