New
Delhi: The Supreme Court today directed the Patna High
Court to establish details regarding the appointment of special
CBI Judge Munnilal Paswan who is handling the fodder scam
cases. These details were asked to be furnished by December
6 and the Registrar General of the High Court was directed
to be personally present in the court on that day. The orders
were passed during the resumed hearing of an application filed
by Rajya Sabha members Rajeev Ranjan Singh (Lalan) alleging
the mala fide transfer of the earlier special judge who was
trying the fodder scam cases. The Supreme Court will closely
scrutinize the documents sent by the Patna High Court in relation
to the promotion of designated CBI Judge Yogendra Prasad and
the appointment of Munni Lal Paswan. District and Sessions

CBI judge for hearing the fodder scam and DA cases pending
against RJD chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and

forced to resign from the Chief Minister's post seven years
ago when the CBI filed a chargesheet in one case.
