Natwar to meet Shaukat Aziz in Moscow

     Moscow: Indian External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, who is in Moscow to co-chair the Indo Russian Inter Governmental Cooperation meeting, will meet Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). India and Pakistan are observers at the six-nation grouping comprising Russia, China and Central Asian countries Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Both the countries were given the observer status at the SCO summit held in Asthana, the capital of Kazakhstan, in July. Singh told ANI that he would seize the opportunity to talk to Aziz on the sidelines of the SCO meeting and express India's deep sympathy for the human loss in the October 8 earthquake in the northern parts of Pakistan and reiterate its readiness to help the country in the massive relief and rehabilitation efforts. India had proposed to open its borders at three designated points Tangdhar, Tithwal and Chakan da Bagh (in Poonch) - to provide relief to the people of PoK with a large part of the area still remained inaccessible, while Pakistan had suggested opening of the LoC at five points to allow aid workers from India. Meanwhile officials from India and Pakistan will hold talks on October 29 in Islamabad to speed up the relief work and opening of points at LoC.
