Crowe calls himself a 'psychologically-damaged weirdo' (Go To Top)

London: Scientists have for long suspected it, some have even claimed to have proved it, and now "'Gladiator' star and 'hell-raiser' Russell Crowe has joined the debate by saying that one has to be a "messy, psychologically-damaged weirdo" to bring out one's genius while enacting a role. Crowe, who has rarely been out of the news due to his impetuous fits of rage that have landed him in trouble more than once, most recently when he hurled a phone instrument at a waiter in New York, leading to a recovery suit being filed against him, says that people should understand that artistes were different, and that they should be left alone. "I am obviously a complicated, messy, psychologically damaged weirdo and that is the fundamental requirement for my job. "It's an unfortunate thing that people don't simply understand that and leave me to my padded cell," Femalefirst quoted him as telling Australia's Channel 9 'Sunday' programme.

Prince Charles to tell all on TV (Go To Top)

London: Prince Charles is all set to be quizzed for the first time in the last 10 years on CBS TV show '60 Minutes'. Charles, whose last major TV interview was with Jonathan Dimbleby in 1994, had vowed never to give another TV interview after his confession to committing adultery with Camilla Parker-Bowles triggered a public row with his late wife Princess Diana. The interview, which has been recorded at Highgrove, will be broadcast before Charles and his wife Camilla visit the US later this year. According to sources, Charles opted for a US TV interview because he thought Americans won't ask much about Diana and he would have a better reception there. "The prince was concerned that, considering how well-loved Diana was over here, a visit with his new wife would not get much coverage. He basically wants Camilla to have a lot of attention. If he did an interview in London it would be all about Diana and would go over lots of old ground, and be all over the papers. The Americans are a little more polite. They're going to focus on the present and his future as king rather than past mistakes," femalefirst quoted a source as saying. During the interview, Charles will reportedly talk about Diana, Camilla, his sons William and Harry, and the terror attacks in London, the source added.
