London: 'Basic Instinct 2' star Sharon Stone recently revealed that she was so traumatised by the drowning scene in the movie, that she even has nightmares about it. Stone said that she found shooting for the scene so stressful and intense, that she was left traumatised by it, and that she often has nightmares about it too. "It was so traumatic. I've had all sorts of nightmares. I'd wake up at night during the days when we were shooting the car scene thinking, 'I can't breathe'. It was so intense and so stressful to shoot that scene," Femalefirst quoted her, as saying. The 48-year old actress also revealed that the experience had prompted her to fit a safety device in her car that will allow her to escape, if it ever gets submerged. "Quite frankly I'm getting those things that you put in your car that you drill into the side that if you do go under water it busts the window," she added.

Sharon donation for AIDS charities (Go To Top)

Washington: Actress Sharon Stone is all set to fatten the coffers of international AIDS charities by making some high-profile charity donations, and auctioning the Chopard necklace her character wears in "Basic Instinct 2". The 48-year old star has also convinced Sony's bosses and her own agent to add funds to the cause. However, among many other charities who are to benefit from Sharon's donations, the actress is particularly proud of a new Fendi project, which will see her become a charity jewellery designer for the Italian fashion house. "I'm making a personal art piece that I'm giving to the AIDS benefit at the Cannes Film Festival, called Life In A Fishbowl. It's made up of personal objects in my life," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying. "Fendi invited me to Rome and we designed this project and we're announcing and showing it and auctioning off the first surprise design piece with all the proceeds going to the Cannes AIDS benefit. And then it will be available to the public this Christmas (06)," she added. Others that will benefit from Stone's gifts are Concerned Parents for AIDS Research and UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Sienna Miller to get bodyguard for new movie (Go To Top)

Washington: Hollywood actress Sienna Miller will be under high security protection on the set of her new movie, as film-makers fear that she may be targetted by fanatical Muslims. The actress is to star in "Interview," a remake of a 2003 thriller by Dutch director Theo van Gogh, who was brutally murdered by Mohammed Bouyeri in 2004 for making a film about Islam and women, which sparked anger among the Muslim community and led to many controversies. But, even though "Interview" has no connection to Islam, producers fear that the association with Van Gogh may trigger another outcry by similar politically-Islamic fanatics. "We'll ensure that Sienna and her co-star Steve Buscemi are given the sort of protection that this project requires," Contactmusic quoted an insider on the movie, as saying. The shooting of the film is slated to start next week.

Johansson's 'Napoleon' raises historians' hackles (Go To Top)

Washington: A new movie starring Scarlett Johansson that depicts Napoleon Bonaparte as having a less than platonic relationship with a 14-year old English girl is raising the hackles of historians. Historian Peter Hicks is reportedly furious with director Benjamin Ross for giving the relationship between Bonaparte and the young Betsy Balcombe, whom he befriended when exiled to the South Atlantic island St Helena in 1815, a not so platonic twist. "It was a platonic relationship. It would be ridiculous to suggest anything else," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. However, Ross begs to disagree, and said that the facts of the relationship left it open to different interpretations. "The facts are very interpretable. I'd be delighted to get historians jumping and down," he said.

Fergie's daughters' birthday bash a drunken rave (Go To Top)

London: Prince Andrew and Sarah Fergusson, the Duchess of York's daughter Princess Eugenie's 16th birthday party reportedly went overboard when in a drunken fit most of the teenaged guests caused mayhem snogging, littering and being sick. Fifty youngsters had flocked to the Hooray Henry bash at the Duchess of York's 10 million mansion. But rather than sitting down to a meal prepared by caterers, some began knocking back champagne, spirits and strong lager they had secretly smuggled in. Eugenie and her 17-year-old sister Beatrice tried to calm down their pals but it was of no use. "It was completely out of control," an onlooker was quoted by The Sun. Fergie and Prince Andrew had splashed out 30,000 pounds on the Pirates of the Caribbean theme party for Eugenie. But it didn't take long for the school friends to get down to some serious drinking. "No one wanted to sit and eat and the drink was flowing.Couples started pairing off and disappearing to dark corners. Eugenie and Bea were clearly concerned, but there was little they could do as everyone was so p****d. At one stage someone tried to get into Fergie's bedroom - but the door was locked and Eugenie stopped them. She was clearly getting upset that things were going over the top and I felt sorry for her. But you know what teenage parties are like when the parents aren't there," he added. However, a royal source close to the Duchess confirmed booze was smuggled into Sunninghill Park, that guests got drunk and many had vomited. However any allegations of sexual activity were denied.
