Brad Pitt is in the pits in Paris (Go To Top)

London: Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt may be head over heals in love with Angelina Jolie but he is reportedly miserable since he has moved into a cramped 1970s tower block in Paris, where Jolie plans to deliver their baby. Pitt, who had earlier lived in a 25.5 dollar million mansion with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston but is now staying in a deprived area of Paris with Jolie and her two adopted children. "Brad is a really nice guy, but he's not too happy about this area. He says Angelina wanted to live in an ordinary Paris district, and that his security people put them in the high-rise block. Although Brad's great with the kids, he says there's nowhere for them to play properly, and they are both very worried about the pollution. There are hundreds of cars going by night and day, not to mention the trains. Brad came over here to get away from it all. He finds Angelina very demanding and doesn't seem to be very happy with the way their lives are going," a source was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying. "I have heard Brad grumbling as they go out in the morning with their children, and I know he'd like to live somewhere a lot nicer. Americans come to Paris looking for romance and beauty - they won't get much of that living here. The plumbing in this building is very bad and sometimes you get a sickly, cabbage-like smell filling the entire place," one of Pitts' neighbours added.

"I'm sorry I passed on both Traffic and Syriana," he added.

London: British beauty Keira Knightley may seem like the epitome of poise and elegance on screen but in real life, she is so clumsy that she spills food on her clothes, and thus avoids wearing expensive dresses. The stunning star - who once admitted she was "very scruffy" despite her A-list wardrobe - says she prefers wearing plain clothes so she doesn't spoil them with her sloppy eating habits. "I'm not into expensive clothing, because I'm clumsy - I always spill things down me. It's jeans and T-shirts with me," she was quoted by Femalefirst,as saying. Keira also confessed she has nothing to do with her stylish outfits. "My fashion sense comes from whichever stylist has been hired for me because I'm so crass. I still believe I'm more of a tomboy than a girlie girl," she told Britain's You magazine.

Kidman quashes Cruise rumours (Go To Top)

Washington: Actress Nicole Kidman, a devout Catholic, has rebuffed claims that she is seeking an annulment of her marriage to Tom Cruise, so that she can marry her country singer boyfriend Keith Urban in a religious ceremony. According to the reports in the Australian media, Nicole was likely to be granted the request because her marriage to Scientology's "Top Gun" Tom Cruise, " which lasted for 11 years from 1990-2001, did not conform to the requirements of the church." However, the actress' American publicist has quashed the rumour, telling website "The Scoop", "I'm afraid (I've) never heard this before." Nicole's Australian spokeswoman also confirmed the same, adding she doubted if Kidman and Urban were even planning an engagement yet. "I've never been told by Nicole that she is actually engaged. If and when she marries again, I'm sure she will make some sort of announcement," said the Australian publicist.

I just found it getting more and more influential in the movies," he said.

Christ may have walked on ice, not water (Go To Top)

Washington: One of the most powerful scenes in the Bible, where Jesus walked on water in the sea of Galilee thus proving to his followers that he really was the son of God, is being put to the test by a team of Oceanography scientists who, in a new study, state that he may in actuality, have been walking on an isolated piece of floating ice. The study, by a team of scientists led by Doron Nof, the Florida State University Professor of Oceanography, found that a rare combination of optimal water and atmospheric conditions could have caused the development of a unique, localized freezing phenomenon that the researchers called 'springs ice'. According to the researchers, such ice could have formed on the cold freshwater surface of the Sea of Galilee - known as Lake Kinneret by modern-day Israelis - when already chilly temperatures briefly plummeted during one of the two protracted cold periods between 2,500 and 1,500 years ago. Prof Nof said that the study was simply trying to explain that unique freezing processes probably happened in that region. "As natural scientists, we simply explain that unique freezing processes probably happened in that region only a handful of times during the last 12,000 years. We leave to others the question of whether or not our research explains the biblical account," Nof said. Their analysis supports the likelihood that a brief blast of frigid air descended over the lake and dropped to 25 F (-4 C) for at least two days, coinciding with the chill that had already settled in for a century or more and quite possibly encompassed the decades in which Jesus lived. And while Nof calculates the odds of this happening as roughly once in 1,000 years in the last 120 centuries, however, during the life of Jesus the prevailing climate may have favoured the more frequent formation of springs ice - about once in 30 to 160 years.
