James Bond to play the Devil (Go To Top)

Washington: Daniel Craig is already lining up some highly paid film roles, after wrapping up his first stint as James Bond in the new film 'Casino Royale'. He is reportedly set to play the 'horny' devil himself in the adaptation of Glenn Duncan's novel 'I, Lucifer'. In the story, the Devil is offered one last shot at redemption by God to live out a blameless life as a human. Though Lucifer does not plan on taking up the offer, he is keen to give it a go for a month, just long enough to put a body through as much drug, sex and other multiple vice excess as possible, reports thehollywoodnews.com. However, during his trial period he realises that he is enjoying his new life and is in a fix whether he should consider taking up God's offer. Ewan McGregor is also in talks to play the man, a failed British author, whose body Lucifer takes residence in. The film is to be directed by "Superman Returns" writer Dan Harris.

Lohan, Simpson battle over 'Dallas' (Go To Top)

Washington: Teen queen Lindsay Lohan and airhead Jessica Simpson are seemingly up again for yet another catfight, for both have their eyes set on a leading role in the Dallas Movie. According to US Weekly, the two actresses had a run in recently, which supposedly started over a round of drinks while they were both relaxing at LA bar, The Dime. And now it appears the pair will battle it out again over the role of Lucy Ewing in Dallas, and if sources are to be believed Lohan has the upper hand because the original Ewing, Charlene Tilton, has expressed interest in the actress taking over the role. "Jessica is beautiful but too old. I had just turned 17 when we started filming. It's more exciting if Lucy is doing all these things... out of high school. (Lindsay Lohan) is a great choice," Contactmusic quoted Tilton, as saying in an interview last month.

No trailer sex for Teri Hatcher (Go To Top)

Washington: Britain's top tabloid "the Sun" has apologised to "Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher for a story that claimed she had sex with men in a van outside her home. The tabloid accepted that the story, appearing in their August issue, was "totally incorrect" and apologized to Hatcher "for the embarrassment caused." The Sun will be paying for the legal expenses of the actress, while she has also reportedly received a "very substantial" amount in the form of damages from the British tabloid The Daily Sport, which also published a version of the camper-sex story in July, alleging that Hatcher used the van so she wouldn't be caught mid-romp by her seven-year-old daughter, Emerson. "Anyone who has ever entered a legal proceeding knows that when you are totally in the right, it still takes a lot of energy to move forward in this kind of proceeding," the actress said in a statement after the case was settled at London's High Court in December "This is probably why more celebrities do not fight back against every made-up story...But when a story appeared about me, insinuating that I am an irresponsible and neglectful parent, I had to draw the line. I will never allow any tabloid to so egregiously attack the area of my life which I give top priority, and that is my parenting," Eonline quoted the actress as saying.
