James Bond's jumbo jet is haunted

London: Crew members working on the latest James Bond film "Casino Royale" reportedly staged a mutiny when they were asked to spend the night on a haunted plane. Several scenes for the upcoming spy movie were shot on the 2million pounds decommissioned jumbo jet at England's Dunsfold Aerodrome, but both cast and crew members were convinced the passenger jet was haunted by a woman who died of a heart attack during a flight. They crew claimed that the lights and warning systems of the plane turned on during filming, even though the jet had no power. Some of them also claimed to have seen the woman's ghost gliding up and down the aisles of the 30-year-old plane. "We were asked to stay on it overnight for one scene, but several of the crew refused because of the ghost." The Sun quoted a set worker as saying. "Some won't get on board at all because of the ghost. It's been a real problem. I cannot discuss the film but I am aware of the plane being haunted. Everyone knows the story," Dunsfold Aerodrome spokesperson David McAllister added.

Jackson reveals truth about 'Snakes' (Go To Top)

Washington: Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson insists that he did not have any problem shooting for his latest movie 'Snakes on a Plane,' as he claims to have grown up in the countryside, playing with the reptiles. The 'Shaft' actor who grew up in rural Chattanooga, Tennessee, claimed that he was perfectly fine with the reptiles as he knew how to differentiate between poisonous species and the harmless ones. "I grew up in the country. When we were kids if we saw a snake, the snake was in a lot more trouble than we were! We'd chase it down and kind of do stuff to it. We knew the difference between the poisonous snakes and the non-poisonous snakes. "We grew up around copper heads, cotton mouths and water moccasins along the Tennessee River," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. Meanwhile, the actor also claimed that the snakes used in the movie also had a fun time, mating with each other and increasing their numbers. "Interestingly enough, we could make this movie and we really didn't have to be around snakes. Even though we had 400 snakes on set with us. When we started we had 400 snakes - by the time we finished there were 475, maybe 500. They were all together and they were pro-creating while we worked!," he said. The actor insists that he shot most of the film with computed- generated snakes, but hardly came in contact with any real ones. He explained, "In the last few weeks I've had a lot more contact with snakes than I had the whole time I was doing the movie shoot. I never touched a snake the whole time we were doing the movie. We couldn't have the snakes on set with us because there's a lot of chaos. When they come down and someone says, 'Snakes are loose on the plane,' you would trample on the snakes and kill them and you can't do that, so we never had snakes on set!"

Barrymore feels her biological clock (Go To Top)

Washington: Now that she's in her thirties and her biological clock is ticking, Drew Barry has owned up that the time is ripe for her to settle down and become a mother. The 'Charlie's Angels' star, who has been in a steady relationship with rocker Fabrizio Moretti, said that she was 'definitely' feeling the 'tick tock' of the biological clock. And, when it comes to realising her dreams of having a family, Barrymore is also considering walking down the path Angelina Jolie and Sharon Stone have taken by adopting a child. "I definitely feel the beginnings of a tick tock. Whether I have children or adopt - whatever form a family comes in, I would absolutely love to have it," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Sex addiction a media creation: Douglas (Go To Top)

Washington: Hollywood veteran Michael Douglas has blasted media reports accusing him of being a sex addict, by saying that the stories were planted only to sell the newspapers. The 61-year-old star, who checked himself into rehab to beat his alcoholism in 1990, claims that since the news of his de- addiction was "too boring", the media had come out with their own interesting version. "Times have changed and sex sells. Around 1990 I voluntarily went into rehab because I was drinking too much and some smartass editor said, 'Oh another boring story about an actor going to rehab. Let's give him sex addiction.' Then it became 'Self- confessed sex addict!' And I don't remember ever mentioning it!," Contactmusic quoted Douglas as saying. The actor, who famously showed his butt in 'Basic Instinct' wearing only a v-neck sweater, has also flashed his bottom in almost ten films including 'Disclosure' and 'Fatal Attraction'. He has also performed sex scenes in half of his 31 films and during his heyday in the 90s the actor became infamous for refusing a body double.

Red-heads, blondes and brunettes (Go To Top)

London: Blondes may claim to have the most fun, but it seems that when it comes to the bedroom, they don't stand a chance next to their red-headed counterparts, a new research in Germany has shown. The study was conducted by Hamburg Sex Researcher Professor Dr Werner Habermehl, who looked at the sex lives of hundreds of German women and compared them with their hair colour of red, blonde and brunette. He found that flame-haired women stood head and shoulders above their blonde or brunette companions when it comes to sex, and that not only are they more 'active', but also have sex more often than average. "The sex lives of women with red hair were clearly more active than those with other hair colour, with more partners and having sex more often than the average. The research shows that the fiery redhead certainly lives up to her reputation," the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying. And men better watch out, for if your woman dyes her hair red, well Dr Habermehl warns that that's a sign that they are not feeling satisfied with what they're getting, and are looking for 'something better'. "Even women in a fixed relationship are letting their partners know they are unhappy if they dye their hair red. They are saying that they are looking for something better," he added. Psychologist Christine Baumanns however feels that it's not so much the colour of the hair that has women getting more sex, but how men perceive the colour, and instead of beating around the bush, get straight to the point. "Red stands for passion and when a man sees a redhead he will think he is dealing with a woman who won't mess around, and gets straight to the point when it comes to sex," she said.

Naomi Watts' death-defying stunts (Go To Top)

New York: Naomi Watts indeed has guts, for she risked her life for the September 2006 cover of Condi Nast Traveler. Looking ravishing in a lilac Roberto Cavalli gown, the King Kong actress left everyone astonished as she stood atop one of the gargoyles on the 61st floor of the Chrysler Building while posing for the magazine, which offers travel ideas, competitions, and guides. According to witnesses, while the crew members seemed nervous about the shoot, the 37 year old Australian beauty looked confident as she took position for the near fatal shot. "How can I book Naomi for jobs, if she's dead?" The New York Post quoted her manager, as saying. After some hesitation, Watts crawled onto the gargoyle. "I couldn't believe what I was being asked to do," she recalled later. But the daredevil in her won out: "I knew I had to do it!"

Alicia kept the 'keys' away for 12 months (Go To Top)

Washington: Singer Alicia Keys admits she kept a lock on her goods for a year, before moving the relationship with boyfriend Kerry 'Krucial' Brothers to a sexual level, because she considers her body to be too beautiful" to be given to someone she is unsure of. "I made him wait a year because my body is too beautiful to be violated by someone who doesn't deserve it," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying. Keys, until now, has kept her relationship with Brothers, the long-time producer of her music, and partner in their production company Krucial Keys, on a low key. It is the first time she has talked openly about it.

Jackson to direct Chan-Li Kung fu classic (Go To Top)

Melbourne: King Kong director Peter Jackson may soon be at the helm of a new film that would team up martial-arts greats Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Jackson may either direct the untitled film or produce it. According to Moviehole Li will portray the villain, and Chan as the hero. Chan recently said the movie, which starts filming next March or April, "will be more American-style. "It will be more suited to foreign audiences than Chinese audiences. If you make a Hollywood movie, of course you have to follow their wishes. They're paying us so much money," he added.
