       Washington: He may have bought a brand new Mini, but 'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint won't be taking the driver's seat any time soon, for he failed his driving test. Grint, who play Potter's best friend Ron Weasley in the movie adaptation of JK Rowling's best-selling novels, said that he was 'gutted and embarrassed' by not being able to clear the test. However, though he's confident of passing the next time he takes the test, he's still cut up about the fact that he won't be able to take his new car out for a spin all on his own. "I failed my test and I'm gutted and embarrassed that I can't drive. I only failed on one thing. I didn't look behind me on a three-point turn. But failing on one thing is more annoying than failing on a few things. But I'll pass next time," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. "I've actually brought a Mini. My dad sits in the passenger seat when I want to go somewhere. It's black and I've pimped it up," he added.

Parminder Nagra befuddled with

      Washington: When it comes to dating, 'Bend It Like Beckham' star Parminder Nagra finds going steady with a person in Los Angeles 'bizarre', for she can't understand why people in the city have a thing for multiple partners. Nagra, who moved to LA from Britain to play Dr Neela Rasgotra on the hit TV drama 'ER', revealed that she found the whole dating scene in the city very difficult to adjust to, for she was not comfortable with the idea of being involved with more than one person at a time. "One thing that I find really bizarre about dating in Los Angeles is that you can have so many dates and it not be a problem. Why can't you stick to one person? Everybody's up front about it here. They go, 'I'm seeing three other people this week!'" Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

Elizabeth Taylor goes sailing with the sharks

       London: With all those reports about her ill health dodging her step wherever she goes, Dame Elizabeth Taylor apparently decided to prove that she was in no danger of dying once and for all - by going sailing with sharks recently. The 74-year wheelchair bound actress certainly seemed to be in good spirits as she enjoyed a two hour, six mile round trip shark-viewing adventure in Hawaii with friends, reports the Daily Mail. And though the 'Cleopatra' star wore no make-up and was dressed in a kaftan-style nightdress over navy blue slipper socks, she was accompanied by her faithful pooch Daisy as she spent the day with pals aboard the Kainani. However when it came to actually swimming with the sharks, the legendary actress took a rain check, preferring instead having a snack and soft drinks on deck while her pals climbed into a 10ft by 6ft Plexiglas cage to view an array of Galapagos and Sandbar sharks.

      Washington: After shoppers at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills spotted 'Dynasty' star Heather Locklear, there was just one question floating in the market - Where's her underwear? According to TMZ.com, the actress sparked the debate about whether or not she was wearing underwear, after she roamed around at the market in a translucent skirt. Onlookers were also seen reportedly arguing over the fact if she was wearing an almost invisible thong. Meanwhile, according to recent inside reports, Locklear's estranged hubby Richie Sambora, who had left her for Denise Richards, is having a change of heart just when their divorce is nearly final.

Cameron Diaz just became a brunette

     Washington: Cameron Diaz seems to have taken a page out of singer Britney Spears' book by ditching her natural blonde looks for a new darker hairdo. The formerly blonde perky 'Charlie's Angels' star was snapped by paparazzi with her new brunette look in Los Angeles while she was getting into her car to zoom away, reports TMZ.com. As for what brought about the decision to change the colour of her locks, well if spicing up her bedroom life was the idea, Cameron really should have gone red. After all, a scientific study has proven that red-heads have more fun than their blonde or brunette counterparts.

Oliver Stone set for Hollywood honour (Go To Top)

     Washington: Director Oliver Stone is set to be honoured by the Hollywood Film Festival as Hollywood Director of the Year at its awards ceremony, on Oct. 23 at the Beverly Hilton. The festival also will present a retrospective of some of Stone's films, including "Salvador," "Born on the Fourth of July," "Platoon" and his current film, "World Trade Center." The retrospective will be followed by a panel discussion with Stone and his special guests, reports Contactmusic. A three-time Oscar winner, Stone has won Academy Awards for directing "Born" and "Platoon" and for writing "Midnight Express."

      London: Angelina Jolie celebrated becoming a certified pilot not by breaking open a bottle of champagne, but by buying herself her very own plane. A source revealed that the 'Lara Croft' star, dished out a whopping 1.5 million pounds to treat herself with the largest single-engine propeller plane in the market. "The plane Angelina bought is the largest single-engine propeller plane you can get," The Sun quoted the source, as saying. And it seems that Ange may soon have friendly competition in the skies, for partner Brad is also working on getting his own set of wings.

      London: Actress Eva Longoria is learning French, as she wants to talk dirty to her toyboy lover in his native language, when they are in bed. The 31 year old actress, who has been dating Texas-based basketball player Tony Parker, 24, since the last 18 months, admits she finds it incredibly sexy when her man says "dirty stuff" in his French accent. "Tony can say all these sexy things to me in French. He'll go 'mon amour' and just the way he says it with his French accent is ridiculously sexy," the Mirror quoted her, as saying. "That's why I'm learning French, so we can say all this stuff in bed!" she added. However, she also admitted that Parker gets jealous if she dresses sexily to go out. "Tony hates that," she told OK magazine.

     New York: That Angelina Jolie is not ready to extend the olive branch to dad Jon Voight became apparent when she refused to even enter the venue where pal Scott Caan's birthday bash was being held. According to the New York Post, Brad and Angelina spent a half- hour sitting in their car out side the place where Pitt's 'Ocean's 11' and 'Ocean's 12' co-star was celebrating his birthday, after learning that Jolie's dad was also inside. Moments after Brad eventually went in by himself to wish his co- star, Voight left the party, making space for his famous daughter to enter through a back door. Jolie cut off all ties from her father back in 2002 when he pleaded with her on national television to get help for her "mental problems", thus putting the adoption of her son Maddox in jeopardy.

      London: With a fortune somewhere between 500 million pounds and 600 million pounds, ever wonder what 'Harry Potter' creator JK Rowling likes to spend her money on? Well, it seems that even with all her wealth the British author hasn't forgotten what life was like on the edge of poverty, for unlike other British icons like Victoria Beckham, the only thing Rowling likes to dish out on, is a nice place to stay while holidaying with the family, with a recent break at the Hamptons costing her 76,000 pounds a week. And even though she now has a property portfolio with homes in Edinburgh, Perthshire and Kensington, and enjoys perks like flying by private jet, and dressing herself in Vivienne Westwood for special occasions, as well as Jimmy Choo, Prada, or even Dior shoes, spends a lot of her money charities, trying to help out the most vulnerable people and children.

     Rowling not only set up a charity named 'Children's High Level Group' to promote children's rights, particularly disabled children in care homes in Eastern Europe, but is also the global ambassador for the National Council for One-Parent Families, and patron of Maggie's Centres for cancer sufferers and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Scotland. And, rather than spending on herself, the author would rather spend her millions on funding short films like the one about domestic abuse. As for her money, well Rowling, who is currently working on the seventh and final Harry Potter novel, said that after living hand-to-mouth, she was never going to complain about the cash coming in.

     Beijing: A teenaged Chinese boy has shocked his mother by marrying 12 times on the Internet. The14-year-old of Zhejiang Province became so addicted to surfing the Internet, that he ended spending at least a dozen hours every day playing online games. Everything seemed to be fine until last week, when he astounded his parents by admitting that he had married many times on the cyber world. He told his mum about his online wives, all aged between 13 to 25, revealing that his longest marriage lasted for two months, while the shortest, merely hours. The boy admitted that he would propose a marriage as long as he thought the girl was beautiful after having an online video chat, reports China Daily quoting the Youth Times newspaper.

     London: Pop diva Madonna is probably known for her make- overs as much as her singing talent. "I see myself as a chameleon. I can transform myself into an English country lady and, a second later, change my look to that of Olivia Newton John or Farrah Fawcett," she was quoted by the Daily Mail, as saying. The singer has exhibited her transformation techniques time and again, be it the conical bras of the 80's or to the blonde to brunette change. Meanwhile Madonna has admitted that although she have given up her wild days, and evolved into a model mother and wife, that hasn't stopped her from thinking that family life can be stifling at times.
