     London: Daniel Craig revealed that he never wanted to be James Bond, while responding to hate mails from hardcore fans of the spy franchise. The actor also disclosed his fears of being blamed if 'Casino Royale' flops. "I never really wanted to do James Bond. Don't get me wrong, I want to make big movies and I want to make as much money as I possibly can, but there's not a tremendous emotional challenge," FemaleFirst quoted him as saying. "It's a dodgy place to be walking. I don't really want to get the rap for destroying that franchise. I mean, that wouldn't be a good place to be," he further added.

Reese Witherspoon turns pizza delivery girl  (Go To Top)

    London: Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon is getting ready for her new role - as a pizza delivery driver, and is reportedly so desperate to make it convincing she decided to do the job in real life. The beautiful actress, who scooped the Best Actress award at the 78th Academy Awards held on 05 March this year, will soon fly to London to start preparations for her new role in 'Penelope', in which she co-stars with Christina Ricci. Reese is also said to be signing up for a driving course first, because she is worried about being on a bike in the city. "She's going from the most glamorous event in the world to one of the most mundane jobs," Fox News quoted a source, as telling The Sun. "Before filming begins Reese is going to take lessons. Then she will spend time with a real delivery boy learning all about riding round London with pizzas in the back," the source added.

Uma Thurman hits the singles scene again (Go To Top)

     New York: 'Kill Bill' star Uma Thurman is on the singles list once again after splitting from her hotelier boyfriend Andre Balazs recently. Robert Garlock, Thurman's publicist, also confirmed the split, but added that though the couple had parted ways, they still remained close friends. "Unfortunately, it is true. But we remain close friends," the New York Post quoted him, as saying. Rumours that the couple were headed for splitsville started when Thurman showed up single at the Academy Awards ceremony held recently, and were fuelled when it became known that the actress was not staying at her beau's hotel in L.A.

Britney Spears' 'balding' blues  (Go To Top)

    London: Pop diva Britney Spears is 'balding'. Shocked! Well the sexy singer is allegedly so stressed about her pop comeback that she is said to be losing clumps of her luscious locks. The 'Toxic' singer, who took time off to marry husband Kevin Federline and have their baby son, Sean Preston, has even reportedly started wearing huge hats to cover her thinning tresses. "It looks like the poor poppet is suffering from stress-related alopecia," Femalefirst quoted a source, as telling Britain's Daily Star newspaper. Sources claim that Spears' constant fretting about shedding 50lbs weight, which she gained during her pregnancy, has been the main cause of her strain. "The real cause of her thinning hair is her constant fretting about getting slim and developing a new look for her return to pop," said the insider. Meanwhile, Britney has reportedly taken up yoga to shift her baby weight, and has succeeded in losing most of her pregnancy weight.

Nicole Kidman backs beleagured Bond  (Go To Top)

     Washington: Oscar winning actress Niclole Kidman is the latest to join a bandwagon of actors, who have backed Daniel Craig, who plays the superspy in upcoming movie Casino Royale, after hearing that he had been the subject of hate emails from angry Bond fans. The new 007 was attacked by the army of Bond devotees who filled cyberspace with petitions calling for him to be axed from the role. But, an array of stars including Dame Judi Dench and former Bond Pierce Brosnan supported the handsome actor, and recently the "Moulin Rouge" star has joined the united front to tell audiences how lucky they are to have "the best actor in England" playing Bond. "I think Daniel will be great in Casino Royale. He is such an accomplished actor. "Stephen Daldry , who directed me in The Hours, said to me, 'He is the best actor in England, and if you get a chance to work with him, do it,'" Contactmusic quoted the 38 year old actress, as saying. Meanwhile, Kidman can soon be seen opposite Daniel in the film "The Visiting" which is in post-production at the moment.

Madonna is back on horse back  (Go To Top)

     Washington: It seems pop diva Madonna has finally managed to get over her fear of horse riding as she showcased her equestrian skills seven months after her horror fall. The pop queen, who recently put her bay through its paces on a ranch in California's Simi Valley seemed to have overcome her fear of riding after her fatal accident. Mum-of-two Madge snapped her collar bone, ribs and hand in the mishap on her Wiltshire estate and has admitted it was sheer agony. "I tried to stand up and my whole skeleton collapsed on me and I fainted. I cried a lot, mostly from pain. When you can't set bones it's painful," she was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying. Mind you, this isn't the first time she's been back on a horse since then. Just two months after her accident she rode down a New York street and confessed, "My excitement is tainted with fear."

Madonna not to publicize cosmetic surgery  (Go To Top)

     Washington: Pop superstar Madonna is considering having plastic surgery to retain her youthful looks, but insists she won't tell fans about her cosmetic help. The HUNG UP singer, 47, maintains her famous figure with a rigorous fitness routine, but admits she may need extra help to keep wrinkles at bay. "I am not going to hold a press conference if I have plastic surgery. But I have said many times, I think about it, like everybody, and I sure don't rule it out," she was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying.

Teri Hatcher on her disastrous marriage (Go To Top)

    Washington: 'Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher has revealed that she knows exactly when her daughter Emerson was conceived because she and her former husband Jon Tenney only had sex once that year. The actress reveals some of her sexual history in new book 'Burnt Toast' and admits that her disastrous nine-year marriage to actor Tenney was farcical in the bedroom. "I know exactly when Emerson was conceived, because we had sex once that year, on Valentine's Day. From the beginning, our marriage was probably more defined by friendship," she was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying. But Hatcher, who has been romantically linked with her neighbour George Clooney of late, insists she wants her 40s for being defined by sex. "Now I want sex: trusting, deep, fabulous, open, wild, crazy, sex, with the same person, over and over. And she insists she doesn't need to wed to achieve this, adding, without a marriage licence," she added.

     Washington: Actress Keira Knightly is undoubtedly a true worshipper of art, as she has defended her decision to pose nude for photographer Annie Leibovitz's eye-popping Vanity Fair cover shoot. In the March issue of Vanity Fair, young stars Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson have been photographed naked by Annie Leibovitz, for the fold-out cover of the magazine, with fashion designer Tom Ford sitting in between. And, speaking about the bold picture, the 20 year old British actress has said that as long it's shot by the legendary photographer, she doesn't care if she clothed or not. The actres also exclaimed that such photos are meant to be treasured, and not feel shy about. "I'm 20. It's Annie Leibovitz. Why not? It's something to show the grandchildren," Contactmusic quoted the actress who won best actress Oscar nomination for "Pride & Prejudice" at the 78th Academy Awards.

Beckham's BMW flying high on eBay (Go To Top)

     London: eBay! is currently inviting bids for 1996 BMW M Series convertible sportscar which once belonged to David Beckham. The England captain apparently bought the car with his first pay packet from Manchester United and personalised it with a number plate P10 DRB which stands for Player 10 David Robert Beckham. During his first season with United he wore number 10. Beckham, drove the BMW during his early courtship with then-Spice Girl Victoria Adams. The car also features in his wife's book Victoria's Secrets. The blue M3 Evolution convertible has a light grey leather interior has done 82,000 miles. Bidders for the BMW, which is for sale on internet auction site eBay, have until 4pm on Saturday to snap up the car. Current bids for the vehicle have reached #9,000, reports the Mirror.

    London: Sexy actress Eva Longoria has begged the creator of Desperate Housewives to clean up his act and reduce her number of naked bath scenes. "I had to talk to creator Marc Cherry and go: 'Can you please stop putting me in the bath tub?'" she was quoted by The Sun, as saying. Eva who hired a fitness trainer to keep her in shape as she shows off so much flesh in the show also asked for a cut in her underwear scenes. "I didn't realise how much lingerie I'd be in and how much I'd be in the bath tub. Filming is nerve-wracking, I'm constantly worrying about how I'm being filmed," she added.

No more fancy gadgets for James Bond  (Go To Top)

     Washington: Fans of the suave super agent James Bond will no longer get to see him surrounded by a host of fancy gadgets in the upcoming Bond flick 'Casino Royale', for Oscar winning screenwriter Paul Haggis has revealed that he is stripping the spy of all his gadgets. Haggis promised that the new movie would be completely different from anything that fans had ever seen before, for instead of Bond's fighting skills, he is going to explore what moulds his character in this movie. "It will be completely different, I think. You know, it takes James Bond from the very first Ian Fleming book, Casino Royale, when he becomes James Bond - when he gets his 'Double 00' status, which means he has two kills, and therefore has his licence to kill. But all the bells and whistles, all the things that Q used to give him, the gadgets, those are all gone. So you deal with the character as an assassin and what it feels like to be an assassin," Contactmusic quoted him, as telling MTV news. "And I ask the questions, 'Why does he treat women the way that he treats them?' So I've either helped to re-energise this series, or I've just ruined James Bond for everybody forever," he added.

Stone slapped 'Basic Instinct' director (Go To Top)

    London: Hollywood superstar Sharon Stone has revealed that she was so shocked when she first saw her leg crossing scene in 'Basic Instinct', that she slapped director Paul Verhoeven in a room full of strangers. Stone said that though she had been aware that the scene would require her to look as if she was nude, she had never expected it to expose her genitals so thoroughly. "I knew that we were going to do this leg crossing thing and I knew that we were going to allude to the concept that I was nude, but I did not think that you would see my vagina in the scene," Femalefirst quoted her, as saying. She added that she had found it so disrespectful and shocking that she had even gone as far as to slap director Paul Verhoven in front of everyone before leaving. "Later when I saw it in the screening I was shocked. I think seeing it in a room full of strangers was so disrespectful (to me) and so shocking, so I went into the booth and slapped him (Verhoeven) and left," she said.
