Two Nigerians caught with fake currency
by Ajay Sharma

Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Two Nigerian nationals, Julius and George Johnson, were arrested here on Thursday evening on charges of luring a businessman Pappu Farishta with fake currency . Bundles of carbon wrapped papers were recovered from them. They clean these papers with the help of some chemicals. Police arrested them on Pappu's report. "These people came in contact with Pappu Farishta through net chatting. They have US dollars with them and they want to sell it in India. When Pappu Farishta met them in Mumbai, they showed papers wrapped in carbon. They clean these papers/notes with the help of chemicals. We have recovered some carbon wrapped bundles also. Then these nationals were arrested on the charges of fraud," said Prakhar Pandey, Superintendent of Police (Raipur City). After few meetings with Julius and George Johnson, Pappu Farishta was asked to arrange 50,000 dollars. These nationals said that they could make 250 million dollars after processing. "They said we have 250 million dollars and we want 50 thousand dollars from you and we will make all the process so that it will become original 250 million dollars. You should help us in the process. I said it is not possible for me.how can I arrange it..they said take 4 to 5 days...I said it is not possible. I understood that these people are trying to cheat innocent people and reported the matter to the police," said Pappu Farishta. The two Nigerians, however, were tight lipped. After much persuasion, they said Pappu met them in connection with starting a cell phone business. "We met on net. He came to Mumbai to meet us. He said he wants to invest in a cell phone business," said Julius from Nigeria. "We belong to Nigeria, Pappu called us here. He came to Mumbai to pick us. He called us here.I don't know what happened," said George Johnson. Police are investigating the matter.
