declared as protected monument

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for the transfer of Gobindgarh Fort at Amritsar to the State Government of Punjab and said that the heritage fort will be declared as protected. In addition the State Government will build the road that would give access to the public to the fort, the Cabinet said. Government of Punjab will also construct a security wall, with ecurity lights, along the perimeter of the fort abutting the defence land.
