       Saturday
Night Bazar in Goa a hit      Arpora
(Panaji): The Saturday Night Bazar at Arpora in Goa is providing a
lot of fun n' frolic to the music lovers who come here from various parts
of the country and abroad to enjoy long holidays. The market also offers
a variety of articles. It has turned into a favourite place for many well-known
singers who visit this place for holidaying just like others. Call it
the growing popularity of Goa as an ideal holiday resort or anything else
but it has captivated many famous singers and musicians as well to regale
the tourists. The Saturday Night Bazar is famous for fashionable and antique
items besides cuisines. This weekly fare is a melting pot of cultures
and is regarded as the right place where one can find a wide range of
multi-coloured hammocks, shoes, bags, beads and T-shirts. And above all,
if one can remember John Travolta's Saturday Night Fever, it is live at
Arpora every weekend. Recently the Saturday Night Bazar witnessed a special
performance by the renowned reggae dee jay Apache Indian, who left the
audience all enthralled. A huge number of tourists coming from different
parts of the country and abroad, thronged the market and danced in steps
to assorted rap tunes and to their heart's content. "I was very surprised
coming here and finding.....music. I am feeling very nice," said a German
tourist, Roger. "It's good. It's all free. You can dance, enjoy yourselves
with no problems. Though I don't know much about him but he is a good
singer and a one- man show," said Barbara, another tourist from Germany
. It was a fun-filled gala time for everyone gathered here as they danced
on the rap music and a few Punjabi numbers. "It was good and lot of fun.
There was a lot of Punjabi music which I enjoyed the most here," said
        another tourist Preeti from Delhi.
