       A
unique 'train restaurant' for Bhopal Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (MPTDC) is constructing a unique restaurant by converting an unused rake of a railway train into a special food joint to promote tourism in the state. Located at Hotel Ashoka Lakeview in the State capital Bhopal, a complete atmosphere of a railway compartment as well as railway platform will be created.     The
restaurant will have all the ingredients to provide the thrill and excitement
of eating delicious cuisine in a train, including railway lights and signals
to make the ambience authentic. The authorities claim that it will be
the world's first-ever stationary restaurant of a broad gauge rake, which
is an achievement in itself. "We thought of creating a bogey of train
in which we made a restaurant and create an environment, and then it will
also be a nice experience. It will also be an important part of tourism
promotional schemes of Madhya Pradesh. As far as I think, it will be the
world's first rail restaurant to be created on broad gauge compartment,"
said Ashwini Lohani, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development
Corporation. Even the workers involved in the making of this unique restaurant
are equally excited about the project. They are putting in their best
to create something magnificent for those who visit the place. "The restaurant
will be offering all the possible comforts, including sofa, dining set,
telephone facility, music, everything," said Mahesh, a carpenter furnishing
the restaurant. However, the tourists visiting Madhya Pradesh will have
to wait for about a month and half before the restaurant's doors open
        for them.
