69 passengers rescued from Sadana Top
Srinagar:
Police and army men rescued 69 passengers from Sadana
Top on Kupwara Karnah Road today. The passengers included
60 males, five women and four children. Their vehicles
came under threat from a snow avalanche at Khoni Nalla
near Sadana Top. The passengers were traveling in seven
Sumos and a tipper. The police team under the guidance
of Deputy Superintendent of Police Sonum Dachen and
Inspector Abdul Rashid of Police Station Trehgam, worked
till 2 o' clock in night and successfully evacuated
the passengers. These passengers have since reached
Karnah safely.
