Naldehra (HP): Shimla organized a one-day tournament at a 105-year-old golf course to attract tourists on Sunday. Nearly three-dozen players participated in this open golf tournament at Naldehra, 23 kilometers from Shimla. The players assembled to enjoy the game in this heritage 'Carlsberg' golf course, which was established in 1905. " Naldehra being a tourist hub by itself. It will attract more tourists. This golf course is catering to maximum people around in the local area also. Tourists coming here can enjoy the game over here," said Pradeep, Gidwani, managing director of the Carlsberg golf course. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has said an initiative is in the pipeline to encourage the corporate and multinationals to develop golf courses in the Himalayan province. "The government is trying to develop more golf courses in Himachal Pradesh," he added. The state has several tourist destinations, which attract millions of visitors from India and abroad every year.
